Last Week Review

Days and weeks past, and you don't even realize how time flies. Saint Pius X Catholic School, is a place you can never replace, it has been become my home for the last nine years. Now my journey at Saint Pius will finally come to an end. In my wildest dreams, I never thought I would make it to the end but I did. There are regrets, that has left me remorseful but there are some that has left me clueless. There are memories of the Good and Bad, but you can't survival without both. Saint Pius X School is a reminder of why I become the person I am today. Saint Pius X School, is the root to my seed and the water to my vine.

This Year has been a roller-coaster we had our ups and downs, turns and falls but never a dull moment.
My last year at Saint Pius was memorable, unforgeable and difficult.

Saint Pius X Catholic School will always remain a place in my heart.

Today we had a activity in the hall, it was based on our relationship with our soul-friends and our communicating skills and social skills, also our creativity. My biscuit was made into a stacks and layers of icing which was pretty intimating and over-powering which I do regret. But that afternoon was amazing and I personally thank the Leadership Group for putting it together.

This is my partner Rachel, we both had put our spiral into the clear bottles. Our art work will be seen by more than 500,000's people which was a big deal. We were proud of our work and we both thought it pretty easy.

Speech- Cons about Stereotypes

    Cons of Stereotypes

Statement: #1 Why are we known for what we are and why aren’t we known for how we are.	Introduction: #2 “When people rely on surface appearances and false racial stereotypes, rather than in depth knowledge of others at the level of heart, mind, and spirit, really says something about our society”
Body: #3 Our minds are lacking a deeper feeling for a number of certain people who are not like us, but the opposite of us. There are a range of cultures in this world of ours, but people are much deeper than “Stereotypes”.	Body #4   Stereotypes are not only an opinion of our cultures but are lies that are presented by fact. But if its a fact, then there no other options or opinions, just a closed door. Letting a  simple fact of one individual that has done wrong in your nationality, define you. Because of the conflicts between the colours and threats. Is not you but just one who did wrong.
Body #5 - The abilities it can do The Cons of Stereotypes, not only has the power of destroying an idea of a person being but has the power to destroy dreams and lifetime goals to the incapable and the impossible. There will always be a negative side, but in this case, the negativity in stereotype has overtaken the positive side, there is no good in stereotypes, just faulty.	Body #6 - To stand out We shouldn’t live up to our stereotypes, but we should live up to our virtues that we stand by or our mottos, even quotes, just something that we believe in. Our stereotype expectations shouldn’t hold us back. We can each define ambition and progress for ourselves. The goal is work towards a world where expectations are not set by stereotypes to hold us back, but by our personal passion, talents and interest.
Body #7 - The reason why I am against stereotypes, because it’s dull and frustrating and complicated. I don’t need a tape stuck to my head, written in words that is a description and insult to my people.	Body #8 - I dislike the way people make assumptions with no further information, preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.  We are all different, and that is what we should be known for, is our range of abilities and our specialty and flaws. But not by colour, race, nationality, religion and gender but for how we are..
Conclusion #9 Therefore, the message that I am indicating to is, do not become your stereotype or negative stereotype but become something more than your stereotype. Something that you believe in. Crossing the fine line or border, between failures and success. So do not judge someone else by appearances or stereotype but how they are.	Conclusion #10 I try and not embrace our stereotypes and I do avoid it, because I don’t want anyone to tell me what I am that I'm not me . Our goals should be to be ourselves, and to challenge our stereotype and to follow the rules, and to break them, and make new rules. Making a change for once and for all. Thank you

Learning Reflection

Today, I've completed my task for my speech. It was really hard and a challenge. Public speaking isn't for everyone. But, I'm sure I did just fine. We were very busy, panicking and I did have a good learning day. 

Adjectives did go first, since we were the top group. I went third and watched as one of my biggest threats go along. I was still slightly not, willing to participate. But once I got on that stage, I was like another person. I am very happy with my results. And I am waiting if I will be doing another speech and Hopefully, Hopefully.. I do. :)

Basic Facts-Stage 6

My Basic facts test.. 

For 1000- I got the total of 7/10
For Addition to 20-I got the total of 10/10
For Subtraction to 20-I got the total of 9/10 
For ×÷ 2 3 5 10- I got 9/10 

What I could do I do better? 
Addition to 1000, I am fairly confident with my addition but I didn't manage to get a 10/10. And I think I could do better.

Fraction Problem

Brown Brother Speech- Reflection

Reflection about Brown-Brother..

His Speech is based on our Stereotype. He says that colour shouldn't stop us.

He speaks about our Demographic which are Jobs that are unqualified, working on the bottom floors. Teenagers- Drop out- Stereotype being great the arts but hating educational subjects/stuff that could possibly be used in the future. He says, if (we're) I'm lucky I'll have a career in Rugby not to reveal education floors. Then he mention teen pregnancy, which can destroy your future and your child's future.

What he says is truthful, we P.I people are lacking confidence in ourselves, we are wasting valuable time adding to the ground of statics. Blaming everyone but ourselves. And using the glowing words as defensive in a argument saying "You’re A racist"

He questions us, why are we always putting our people to shame. Being the intelligent Polynesia. Will he ever change. Seen or its thought of intelligent, our fights about everything.

We are all the same. We do not belong in the bottom in the food chain. We are cable, keeping our Christian faith. Not being afraid of reaching our goals, making a change of mindset..

Those Awkward Moments?

Where do I start?, OH, Retreat!! That was the most tragic time of my life..

As careless or reckless I can be, I actually got lost in that building. Creepy floors, heavy staries, thick and noisy carpet, lastly old men who pray all day. Ew. Just, Ew.. Don’t Get me started on the leaking-horror looking bathrooms!!

I remember well, that I was the odd one out while my class disappeared or left me behind.. Unaware of their presence made it more difficult or hard to understand.

My class has left me behind empty handed and left with my instincts to follow their path... And I found them, in the middle of prayer..

Once I hit the bottom floor, I saw a big room or a chapel. But the doors were close.  

I could hear mumbling, and whispering and voices through the cracks of the door.

The door was huge and thick, I would have to push my way through... I wasn't sure if there was anyone there. So what happen was, I occidentally put a little too much pressure on the door, opening the door uncarefully and purposely opening the door, to my discovery... I interrupted big time.. Eyes and gasping took its path....

Students giggling and theres my teacher, folding her arms with a tight grip, pointing to the sit next to her..

Lastly theres was this, amazing family reunion at Saint Pius. The whole crew was there... In the middle of my uncle speech, I pretended to act in my reckless ways.. So as he started to speak, I leaned on the fragile table that collapse..

Silence... So broke into laughter, after blurting out-”Sorry?” vaguely... and with pride..

The reason why I chose it because I felt that it was important. We practically live in social media channels. It has affected us, and we've lost our touch in nature. It is time consuming and dangerous at times. But like always, there was foundation that started it.
