My Maths..

I am going to show you how to use tidy numbers!
26+78= ?
First I make 26 a tidy number by choosing the closest 10 which is 30 adding four and then I make 78 a tidy number by add two.
30+80=110 and 4 and 2 makes six. 110-6=104.
The Answer is: 104

My Special Person

Opening Statement
A special person is someone who has stood by your side and has a great influence over you. Someone you treasure deep within and you love dearly, your special person is someone you admire and you look up too. Thats why my Brother is my special person.
Body
My Brother and I has been always been close since we were young.
I enjoy his company and his time with me.
We may fight and complain about each other, but we always make up by our sense of humor.
His spirit is uplifted and he is my motivation to go on and succeed in my goals. I love his honesty and courage I see in him.
I find my brother as a threat in learning, his spot on thinking and ideas inspires me to be exactly like him.
I love his personality and his knowledge he shares with me.
He may be grey and cold like a snake, but under his thick skin he has a warm heart.
His Unconditional love carries on even though he doesn’t tell me. Because I don’t really need to know, he shows it in his own unique way.
He is a hardworking and earning person. He is deserving and a talented young man. Despite he may be my brother but boy I can see in him. That light that brightens up and the trees that blooms. The bitterness that comes from his mouth may hurt me physically and mentally but in those words has that meaning behind it. He is a open book that I can always read into..
Conclusion
The connection I share with him can never speared me from him.
I respect him and love him for the person he is. He may never hear this from me but the world will. That is why he is my special person, not my favourite but special indeed. My treasure, my gift from God and my Hero.

Religious Education

A reading from Luke chapter 6 verse 27:37

"Forgive others and God will forgive you."
***
God words are simple and beautiful.  I learned forgiving others would help you become a better person not only that, you would become a happy person. But letting your past slip away and forgetting the pain is hard. But forgive and forget is the way, it is a way of life.

I learned the pain may be harsh but fresh new starts is a way to refresh your mind and body.
"Forgive others and God will forgive you."
Remember that, let go and let yourself be free.

Basketball

Every year we have new sport for the term.
Like the another year before, Basketball has returned to our school.
In the morning my class head out to the court first for our first lesson for the term.
Our Coach name was Vinnie but he was only filling in for the day.
He taught us the basic, how to jump stop and all those another things that we needed to learn. I had a great time, it was fun and exhausting. He was awesome, he sure knew how to push us hard. I look forward for the next basketball lesson hopefully he still filling in.
I wonder what I will be learning next? I can't wait!.

What A Explanation?

Hi again!
I'm here to show you what I've learned in writing in this week.
What is a Explanation?
A explanation is a statement, it like being asked a question and answering it.
A explanation is like expressing what you think of something, giving reasons why you like something or why you hate something, its about being clear.
So I was asked what is my special place, and this is what I wrote.

  • I love the sandy shore and the strong Smell of the sea.
  • I find the beach unique and special.
  • Its a place where I can think to myself and be separate
  • from the world.
  • It will be a place where I can think of memories I had in the past.
  • I believe I can go far all around the world just like the sea.

My Holidays!

My Holidays..
In The Water!
During the holidays my family and I went out to celebrate new years.
I arrived early in the morning at one of my relatives house.
Packed and ready but it was crowded outside as we waited for the others to arrive. We were all aware of the weather that day. Grey and cold was the way I would described it. I wasn't very thrilled about the weather, but I somehow I still had that burning feeling in me.

While dozing off to sleep, the bus was filled with loud-months and music blasting through speakers. I still remember praying, begging God to change things around which was scary. That Splash of fun would do but without the sun there will be no light to brighten things up.

After all the nagging from those little monkeys who would pop their heads right in front of me as they nagged “Are we there yet!” and again “Are we here yet!” but as my eyes studied on the roads, we were near the hills, streams and tall trees I found a distraction that would finally make the murmuring stop. I was so bored at the time but finally with the hope of being there made me skip a heartbeat.
I noticed the appealing view of Waiwera. I took a few seconds as I gasped. I saw that dazzling touch and felt that breeze, driving our way through the little village. I was pleased of the how the place turned out. Now it was time to have a little fun. After I got myself out of the bus, I strolled noticing the entrance. I shrieked “OMG! AHH!” I hung around with my older brother at the time, while we waited in line to get in. Once the rest of my family was in, we all raced to the changing rooms in the hurry to get changed. All dressed up and my belongings stashed away, now time to have fun.

One! Two! Three! We were the very first that day at the slides not even a single person went by, I was disappointed when I saw that black hole was closed. I was the one of the first customers to go down the slide. As I lay my head on the cool running water, I glanced over and saw that smile on her face. There I was, counting down, “One, Two, Three!” I rushed down like it was a race, right to the end of the slide. When I reached the bottom I crashed feeling every bone of my body crack. I felt ruthless and wild!. I always treasure the moments I had in the water with my family, our wild rides and ruthless plans. Maybe we need some lessons for our behaviours but every family is different. I would see my family as the underdogs the ones that always find our way through the spotlight.

I took time to rest as I lay next to my baby brother at the barbeque base. I giggled as I lay my head beside him, tickling him having a special time. Later on that day we had a big feed, heaps of meat and love was put into the feed. All in a line, we took time scooping and picking. My family was united and connected as ever, everyone laughing and having their small chit-chats, it was a fun time. I ate as much as I could, but then I thought back and realised that I made a big mistake. Waiting half an hour wasn't that bad. But once I got on my feet I rushed ahead to see what my family was doing.

A few hours had gone, soon I was swimming around floating. We finished playing our little games and after knowing that I was the bait all along. It was fun at first but being thrown to the water over and over again was not much as fun at first.  After our day out, it was time to say our goodbyes to the place. I strolled back to the bus, packed. Waving Good Bye, going back to the long journey on the road.
